Custom African Mahogany Shelves

All shelves are made to order. (minimum size is 3″ X 9″, maximum is 16″X 93″) All shelves are 1-3/4” thick. Our African mahogany floating shelves are natural African Mahogany wood veneer on multi layered solid poplar core for ultimate strength and dimensional stability. Finished with premium quality low-sheen clear conversion varnish.

African Mahogany (Khaya Ivorensis) is native to tropical Africa and Madagascar. It has a very similar color and grain to genuine mahogany and is the only timber widely accepted as mahogany besides that of the true mahogany, of the genus Swietenia. From a sustainability standpoint, African mahogany grows in good rich ground that is not nearly as delicate as the Amazon basin.
