floating shelves for contractors

It really wasn’t very long ago when a building contractor would employ dozens of craftsmen and they owned tons of machinery that would be transported from one jobsite to the next. Everything was built on-site, all the way from the formwork to the rafters, staircases, door jambs, right down to the kitchen cabinets. It couldn’t have been much more than 30 or 40 years ago, but those days are long gone now.

Contractors today rely on their Ipad and Iphone as their main tools. All the hands-on work is done by subcontractors. Today a good contractor is a good information manager. You meet with the owner and architect to plan your job. You are the one everyone is counting on where the rubber meets the road. You must recruit the right subs, source the proper materials, stay current on ever-changing building codes, double and triple check that all the flashing details are done correctly. Then check 3 or 4 more times to make sure no one nailed through it. You are the one to keep it all running on time and on-budget.

Everything shows up at the jobsite ready to install. Pre-cut studs are old school. Now they roll off the truck already built as walls with sheathing. Roof trusses, floor trusses, pre-hung doors, windows, prefinished flooring, cabinets… just about everything comes out of a cardboard box anymore.

We build floating shelves that are professional grade. When your client asks you to build some floating shelves, you stand to look like either a champ or a complete Muppet depending on how the job turns out. It doesn’t make sense you would build your own floating shelves any more than you would manufacture your own windows. For the time and material it will take not to mention all the equipment, you’ll never get anywhere close to our quality for even twice the price.

We do the all the hardest work for you, in just 10 working days. All you have to do is find the studs, tighten the bolts..and you’re a hero.
